Classically trained at the Trinity College of Music in London, pianist and composer ildio embarked on a successful career in Jazz, touring the world from headlining at Ronnie Scott’s aged 21 to performing at Glastonbury with the likes of Jessie Ware.
During the height of the pandemic last year, ildio began reading The Power Of Now (Eckhart Tolle), a book which resonated strongly with him amid the lockdowns. The powerful words inspired him to create calming solo piano works, almost as a medative practice. These five pieces would become his debut EP, timeless, which has since amassed over 5 million streams.
About the new EP, ildio tells us: “In the midst of uncertainty, I found myself returning to my familiar place, the piano. This body of work is the product of that return to the beginning for me.”
